I just ordered a PTCL DSL connection so-called PTCL Broadband. The process is quite easy. You just need to dial 1236 and the rest is ABC. It was fun talking to their CSR today which is usually not fun due to not availability of the CSRs. PTCL is getting good these days. I get speed of 1MB line on my 512kbps connection t office. Amazing right? But I have another connection just ordered at my home. It was my long time wishlist item and I was going to put it on my bucket list as I was thinking the PTCL is really slow in adding new cities to their network and may be it wont get done in my life time.

But they say, “Something is better than nothing” , so I am happy with them offering these connections.

I had a very good fiber optics connection in Islamabad. The line was 2MB. So I really have enjoyed better speeds on the internet but it was a dream to have my own office and a cool looking office setup with availability of Speedy Internet at my home. so I dont have to stay in office working all the night. Now I can stay home at nights, work from home and enjoy Prathas and Great Meals my mom cooks.

I was using VPTCL before at home and it was good in the very beginning when this service started, but just like any service in Pakistan, it declined and now its not even better than a 2kbps dialup. Shame on you PTCL. I like you and hate you on the same time. Please keep your name with broadband as well. Dont make it a rubber-band

I will still be working at office but for 10 hours/day. The rest of the time is for my family . Isn’t it cool? Yeah I agree it is And whenever there is a problem with any site I manage, I can fix it quickly.

Hello dear blog surfers, wanna tell you something about me. You recall the things that happened each month/day/time a year ago. Thats what everybody does. I was so broken last Ramadan that I fell seriously ill. I spent my eid day with Doctors and Nurses in the Hospital. My parents all down with frustration about me.

Well I got a new Western Digital 320 GB HDD for storing my mobile HDD disk as its having some problem. Circuitry heats up and the USB based drives just disappear from My Computer. Pretty strange!

Thanks God, its still in warranty limit and I am gonna get it replaced. Though for moving its data that’s already in the portable HDD, I asked Farhan (my friend) how should I do do. he suggested that we should get the HDD crack opened, connected to SATA port and then transfer its data into brand new HDD I bought. The idea works and I have all my Movies and the Ebooks rescued

I am still checking my Samsung LCD. The computer shop named Regent Computers didn’t proved to be sound professionals, they sold me the LCD monitor for PKR 16,900 and its price they mentioned a day before was PKR 15,500. Its a rip off. Anyhow I believe they would pay for it as when you do such deed it all tells upon you.

One thing I dont like about this LCD Monitor is, it doesn’t have the back panel for varying the height of the LCD screen. The second thing is, I am unable to bend it to an appropriate angle. Yeah it looks good in comparison with my Old Philips 105 E CRT monitor (15″) but its not very impressive even if its quite glossy. May be I am expecting too much. Honestly I don’t care about the price but you should get what you pay for. In this case, I don’t think I got what I wanted. Anyhow this is life.

About the 320 GB HDD, I am happy/satisfied as it saved my life. Saved my data for me. And they sold it to be for PKR 5,900.

I am home for the weekend, elections are taking place. I am not interested in voting. Who wants to vote in a place where everybody is looking for his/ her personal achievements and nobody cares about the country and the nation. So I am not interested in voting. I just heard that 2 people have been killed in a panic at a Polling station in Mansehra.

I wish for my people that they  realize whats happening to them. I ask you guys whether you can name a person who has done some good for his/ her people?

Yeah I am late for my office today. You might be thinking its not a new thing to a guy like me but yeah in a way; this time it is. Anxious ? Yep I am not gonna keep you waiting. Last night I was at Radio Buraq. Met my friends Sohail and Kamran Sheikh. They had a cake at the station sent by some Fan and they thought its a better idea to celebrate my birthday and yeah we did. By the way here is the picture of the cake.

It was Mazedar meaning It was delicious. The guys worked on promos for the radio last night and I think I couldn’t sleep well due to music.

I was completely awake at 4:30 and I couldn’t sleep after that, so I wanted to wait for the sun to appear as I had to get back home to pack for Islamabad. So at 6:00 AM I left for my place and yeah Mr. Qari fazal-e-Rabbi our Radio Station Building’s landlord, dropped me at my place. When I reached home, my Phupho Ammi (My father’s eldest sister and among the persons I adore the most) reached our place and I spent some time chatting to her. then I went to my bed for some sleep and I couldn’t sleep. I started reading Sidney Sheldon’s , “The other side of Midnight” and took a nap, I dunno when. Anyhow when I woke up, it was 12:30 and I was late for the office. I had to reach office at 3:00 PM but I couldn’t. I was already late by half an hour and after having my brunch, I was going to leave that my cousins arrived and I had to be with them for some time too. Then I left for Islamabad at 1:30 and yeah thats the story of me getting late.

So the statement of the day was, “I am late for office on my birthday, I guess its a bad start, but yeah I am hopeful about the rest of the year”

But later on I found this Optimistic thing in my email along with a lot of other (bot driven(Yep you can say I am not social, who cares anyway ) Happy Birthday emails. This was sent from Gazzag that made me feel I can still bring the good things of me to world. So I would say Hello world again.

Well this is just to tell you people that I am finally 23 and yeah I havent done great things like other guys might have done but yeah thats the way I am. I am a looser, I am a winner, I am a happy man, I am sad at the same time. Everything goes inside my heart. Yeah by now I have learnt that I have feelings; which are overwhelming sometimes. I have a heart that melts everyday. I have strength, I have weaknesses. I have manners and yeah I am ill mannered to. Everything goes inside me. You know its like a fission reaction. My atoms are being broken all the type. Its not matabolism at all, yeah its fission.

I just had my 23rd birthday cake. It was unusual, no candle lights, no nothing. Just an almond cake with peanut spread on it. Yeah it was tasty but at the same time, life is so tasteless. Yeah this is the only time I remembered by birthday but at the same time I am not happy. I haven’t done any great thing by now. I am so hopeless.

Last night I was having the issue on the CSS of a site I am working on. Its a lesson plan system for an organization. You can view the problem here at this address as I posted it on experts exchange; my all time trusted technology forum. It didn’t work this time. Still no response by now. Anyhow I solved it with the help of Ali; who became a friend of mine at HOTSOL. I call it Shit Soul by the way.At least I learnt a lot of new lessons there and made great friends. Its just about the CEO guy and the guy who is so called director of the company. The rest of guys are good and they are have ethics too. he great guys I found there were Haide, Ali and Mk off course.

I was just bugged by the noise of drill machine at my workplace that in the end proved to be a great news as the guys were installing a brand new Fiber Optics connection that promises a 2MB speed. Yeah seems its going to be a great surfing and internet research coming our way.

We do have 2 DSL backups  here but you know this is the second time I would be enjoying such a great speed. Thanks to Altair, my new company. They are so caring they installed a Gas heater as soon as I told them it was cold in here. The manager Faisal is a great guy and he asked the office boy to increase my desktop computer’s RAM as I was complaining about the low speed of my workstation. Its a great place to work and I am quite happy to leave HOTSOL aka Shit Soul lol. They are a bunch of fools out there!
