As you type the content for your blog post, this plugin looks for Flickr Photos, Maps to any locations that you might mention in the post, any products that are listed or even related news to your blogs post.

If your content regularly mentions some companies regularly, Yahoo shortcuts can bring up latest financial information related to that company.

Relevant search results would also come up for certain terms like in the image shown UNIX Pipes would pop up a Yahoo shortcut with relevant contextual search results. Some bloggers may find some shortcuts annoying and irrelevant to their blogs content, but some might really find it useful. It all depends on what you blog about. (more…)

Yeah as always I am one complete day late to know about the new release of wordpress. Its really cool. I just downloaded and installed it. As its famous for its 5 minutes install; it has great new features and a neat and clean interface, I think a hundred times better than the previous version thats 2.3 if I am not wrong (2.3.3), yeah I just checked as I am writing this post on the old platform and I just needed to scroll down this post window (my wordpress blog is an auto install by Fantastico provided by my host in Cpanel)

Anyhow right now I am playing with the latest version (2.5) and its simply awesome.

Yep that happens. I have learnt it from my best and worst SEO experiences. Well guys (not to mention the girls) ,  SEO is what can be called the  ” The most desirable feature/quality (whatever you name it) of a website. To me there are two points about SEO.

•  More and more incoming links to your blog/site.
• neat clean directory like URLs for your pages.
• No redirections.
• Table less structure to ensure search engines see the text version of your site easily and dont get confused with the text formating on your sit. ( Yeah its important!)
• Quality /niche oriented / keyword specific content on a page.

According to the news  resource, “The hosted blogging service, which has 14 million users worldwide, was purchased from San Francisco’s Six Apart.”

One-year-old Russian online media company SUP on Monday announced that it has acquired LiveJournal — a hosted blogging service that counts millions of users in the U.S. and around the world. SUP bought the service from Six Apart, a San Francisco-based startup that began offering LiveJournal in 2005 after acquiring its developer, Danga Interactive.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

OK! here I am with something new about blogging. Yeah its sketchcasting. I am sure this word is soon going to be added in standard dictionary as the idea has got the power to get success. By the time, I hope you have got the idea that sketchcasting is a word composed of sketch and casting. Means sketchcasting promises the casting of sketch. Casting in the the form of blog offcource. WP plugin: Get Author Profile

Get Author Profile is a pretty basic WordPress plugin that lets you manually access an author’s (i.e. user’s) profile. The main purpose is to let you provide author information outside The Loop, such as for a sidebar intro of the blog owner or to list contributors to your blog.

(Note to WordPress 1.2 users: This is now a WordPress 1.5+ plugin. See the July 9th update.)

When the get_author_profile() function is called with a specific numeric User ID, you can make use of global variables related to that author’s profile, or alternatively display their information with the function author_profile().
